Since at least half a person's life is spent working, it makes sense to know early on what to choose. Depending on where you are, youngsters may have an initial idea about what they want to be—though this may naturally change as they mature . Today, some of the more popular jobs include finance and IT. There must be something about the aura of people in suits who are living a life as modern-day employees that draws them to this. However, towards the end of secondary school, students must have a concrete decision before entering university. Many students follow their passion , while others listen to the advice of their parents and teachers, believing they know best. But some have to follow what their family says to continue the family legacy . Such people might come from a family of doctors, engineers, lawyers, or politicians. Now, once people begin working, several factors come into play that may affect their work experience. A person's salary often determines how long a person will stay at their job. People have bills to pay and mouths to feed . So if the remuneration is not enough, the employee might work elsewhere or even change careers. The rapport at work is another factor. When people like their co-workers , going to work becomes more fun. But if the atmosphere is toxic because of the bad vibes from others in the workplace, employees are more willing to resign early .
