[Point] I believe that the best-paid jobs in my country currently are in the technology and financial sectors that require a great deal of expertise and hard work to achieve success. [Extension 1] As technology has become central to the Chinese economy and a key part of both commercial and industrial industries, a good job in technology can offer a great deal of money to talented and motivated workers. [Extension 2] Working in finance also provides a good deal of well-paying options. Having a good understanding of money on a large scale makes someone important and also enables a person to find the best ways to make money using this expertise. More perspectives: Civil servants —stable and well rewarded, plenty of opportunities for promotion Sportsmen —football players / Olympic athletes / basketballers' sponsorship and endorsements Medical —dentists, surgeons, health consultants, work in private and public hospitals Q2: Is it hard to find an interesting job in China? [Point] Yes and no. [Extension 1] Many new industries and new opportunities have been thriving in recent years. I would say there is no shortage of interesting jobs for enthusiastic workers and those who would like to take a chance in new areas. [Extension 2] On the other hand, China has a huge population, so there is much competition for jobs. Some economic sectors are not as strong as the last decade, meaning jobs that appeal to many such as the ones dependent on traditional skills are harder to find. More perspectives: People —a "boring" job can be interesting with the right colleagues Positive attitude —can make a job interesting with enthusiasm and luck Negative view —any job becomes boring, only the minority can get interesting jobs Q3: Why do some people choose boring jobs? [Point 1] For many people, a boring job can offer stability and a relaxing life. [Extension] There are many different personality types, and just as some people dream of having a challenging and exciting job that offers something different every day, others love to have a predictable routine where they know what the next day will bring. [Point 2] Another reason could be that they may simply find their excitement outside of work. [Extension] Usually, these people have an exciting hobby or social life that takes up most of their energy, therefore they see work only as a way to earn money rather than as the main part of their life.
